Melbourn Village College

Melbourn Village College is a secondary mainstream school. Our students join in Year 7 and we support them through to completion of GCSEs in Year 11; we do not have a post-16 offering at this college.

The mainstream college itself supports approx. 600-620 students in total, with The Cabin supporting around 24 students. Due to the size of the college and the size of the Cabin, it is unlikely to exceed five Cabin placements per year group.

Another highlight for the MVC Cabin is that we have, so far, been able to sustain a 50/50 balance of autistic boys and girls within our provision. This has aided friendships and peer group relations, allowing the Cabin further opportunities for inclusion of a wider range of students with similar needs.
